HEY POES! In 2016 I spent five months doing volunteer work in France. During the first weeks I was strolling through a little town, waiting to take some photo’s of the choir my host was performing with that day. While walking around I spotted a cat sitting in a window box, with an empty coffee cup next to him. The cat looked so grumpy and the image with the cup was so funny to me, that I quickly took his photograph. And that’s how this series was born. I encountered many more cats in those months, from unbothered or sleeping to curious and cuddly. And I hope to come across more still.
